About Anthony Lopez-Vito and this site

I'm Anthony Lopez-Vito and live in London and Manila with my wife, Katerina. Born and raised in the UK, I've also spent formative chunks of my life in the United States and the Philippines.

You can say that I'm an ex-computer geek turned businesses owner. My career started off hacking C++ code for Windows and Linux platforms, but then drifted into project management, network infrastructure and computer security. In the past, I've worked with start-ups, a systems integrator; mobile operators; banks and a $100bn Japanese trading house. It was fun while it lasted but wasn't for me. I'm happier working for myself, or as a freelance consultant.

This site focuses mostly on technology and freedom. It's basically an online scrapbook where I can park my notes for later reference. I've found that writing things down helps clarify my thoughts and making what I write public drives me to be more thorough in my thinking.
